Not-for-kids PUMPKIN PIE
| Cooked pastry shell |
4 eggs (separated) |
| 2 cups cooked pureed pumpkin |
1 cup sugar |
| ½ tsp. cinnamon |
1 tbsp. cornstarch |
| ½ cup melted butter |
1/3 cup cream |
| 1 cup (not a typo) whiskey - can reduce the amount to taste |
1. Add sugar, cornstarch, beaten egg yolks & spices to the pumpkin and beat.
2. Quickly add butter, cream, whiskey & mix.
3. Fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.
4. Fill pie shell & bake for one hour at 375 degrees.
